The Next Stage in dMEVolution

Greenwood Air Management are well-known for being first to market in the ventilation industry.

From manufacturing the first dMEV classified product in the UK in 2007 to our latest release aligned to the 2021 UK Building Regulations, our approach has always been set on delivering a low-energy performance product which conforms to the latest regulations and is easy to install and commission into a wide-range of domestic properties.

What is dMEV?

A de-centralised mechanical extract ventilator (dMEV) system incorporates continuously running mechanical extract ventilation fans, designed to remove waste and moist air out of single wet rooms (i.e. bathrooms and kitchens).

dMEV units are designed to run continuously between low and high speeds in each wet room throughout a property. A low (trickle) speed runs continuously whilst high (boost) speeds are activated via occupant control (light switch) or automatic sensing technology (humidity/timer).

Continuous ventilation offers an excellent solution for new and existing homes as it does not cost the earth to run – in fact it’s less than a penny a day for 365 days of the year! They also ensure that the desired set commission rate is maintained at all times and therefore can meet the ventilation rates outlined by various regulatory authorities (including the UK Building Regulations).
