Benefits of horizontal application

  • Contains intumescent material designed to expand inwards therefore crushing ducting and blocking the smoke and fire passage

    • Supplied in lengths of 100 or 200mm that can be easily cut with a knife to be installed level with the surrounding wall
        • Fire sleeves undergo fire resistance testing achieving integrity of 130 minutes in solid walls, 67 minutes in hollow walls and 4 hours in concrete or block walls
          • Available for all sizes of rectangular and round ducting systems offered in the Greenwood range that would commonly pass through a fire rated wall
            • Tested to BS476 part 22 (1987)

                Benefits of vertical application

                  • Consisting of a hinged, two part metal collar containing intumescent material, the unit has a quick release pin for easy fitting
                  • Fitted lugs are supplied for simple attachment to most building materials
                  • Available for all sizes of rectangular and round ducting systems offered in the Greenwood range that would commonly pass through a fire rated ceiling
                    • Tested to BS476 parts 20 & 22 (1987)
                    • Vertical collar is suitable for domestic application for use around PVC or steel duct
