Design and Consultation
Once drawings are received, we work with our clients, including architects, consultants and developers, to design the ventilation system in line with the Building Regulation requirements whilst also considering the impact of internal noise transfer and ease of access for maintenance and servicing of units. We often have to refer to many other documents including fire regulations and acoustic noise reports, all of which contribute to the selection of the best methodology for the property.
The design stage is crucial in ensuring that GIP Guaranteed Installed Performance can be achieved easily once installers are on-site.
In fact, GIP starts with design. We have been using CAD to design systems since the early 2000s.
Today we offer a comprehensive CAD and quotation service for our clients.
We ask you to simply provide the key details of the planned development and a copy of the plans and then use our expertise to design the system based on Regulation requirements and noise standards. In addition, we will apply the most suitable unit and ducting for the project - all with the view of eliminating risk of non-compliance and assisting GIP Guaranteed Installed Performance.
A CAD plan can look like this:
As you can see, it positions the unit in an agreed area and routes the duct around the property. The CAD plans can be provided both electronically and as printed versions for easy reading on site.
Using the CAD plan we will also prepare a full quotation detailing the unit specification and ancillaries for easy understanding of the entire ventilation system requirements.
