Greenwood’s Green History A tale of green history it is – Greenwood have long been committed to carbon reductions and since 2001 we have reduced our total energy consumption by a whopping 35%
The last 3 years however have seen a major focus on environmental responsibility not only within our activities as a business, but within our product design as well.

| 2004 |
Greenwood celebrate achieving ISO14001 accreditation for it’s environmental management system which includes several KPI’s covering energy usage, recycling, packaging and transport movements
All Greenwood staff begins to understand how they can help reduce the carbon emissions whilst at work. The result is that more paper is recycled, lights are turned off when not in use and people are beginning to car share - what a result!

| 2006 |
Two years on and a 10% reduction in energy usage has been achieved within the business! (5% per year) The good ideas club is also receiving more and more inventive ways of reducing energy usage and making greenwood greener.
No-one would have thought we could do as much as we are doing! Our customers, particularly in the social sector are asking more and more questions about what we can do and we can answer them! |

| 2007 |
Today we have several targets in place and since 2001 we know we have reduced our total energy consumption by 35%.
In October the Energy Saving Trust are coming in to look at our business and see where we can make more savings!!
On the 1st November, Greenwood announce to the world that they are the first domestic ventilation manufacturer to become carbon neutral and reflect their commitments which two simple product labels that will begin to highlight carbon neutral and SAP Appendix Q eligible products – Making it simpler for our customers to understand the impact of their product choices.

During 2008 our green plans involve further reductions within our business and more and more of our products to carry our Green Labels, including Carbon Neutral and SAP Appendix Q
