In June 2006, SAP Appendix Q was introduced to promote energy efficient ventilation products that offer benefit in SAP and DER (Dwelling Emission Rate) calculations. Individual manufacturers products replace the default settings for each methodology in a newly designed database. Each product is tested to provide a specific fan power performance that can be used to calculate 'energy saving' which is re-entered into the SAP calculation process.
The Appendix Q process highlights the markets most efficient domestic ventilation products, offering an opportunity for new innovations and technologies to be recognised for improved performance and transferred into a value and benefit when specified and installed in the built environment.
Greenwood Airvac now have 6 products included on the SAP Appendix Q Website including;
